The player level cap is 100 with four Re-Ups, giving 500 level segments in total. This does not turn a level-100 player into a level-30 Medic. For class unlocks, follow the class progression recommendations; for equipment purchases, use the mod categories.
Coins and Iron answer different questions
- Coins
- Earned through matches, every ten player levels and medals. Match-earned Coins have a weekly cap; level and medal Coins are outside that cap.
- Iron
- Paid currency. Weekly discounted offers use Iron, while base individual items in the Barracks can be offered for Coins or Iron.
- Challenge rewards
- An active challenge's reward cannot be skipped with Coins or Iron. Seasonal and event rewards can enter the Barracks after a cooldown once their challenge period ends.
Most cosmetics are earnable, but Premium content, charity and collaborations can be exceptions. Already-owned items can reduce a bundle's price. Check the actual bundle before buying instead of comparing only its full advertised total.
Plan around a goal you can finish
If you want weekly XP, select the relevant Horde or Versus challenge before queuing. If your target is a cosmetic, read its own conditions; a longer mission is not automatically the fastest route to it. Use the time planner for session length, not for estimated Coins or XP earnings.
Premium's cosmetic extras and 1,000 Iron are covered in the edition comparison. A Game Pass membership provides game access under its terms, not an automatic completion of reward challenges.
